Happy birthday, Your Majesty!
If you’re hosting a party to celebrate The Queen’s birthday, why not invite the lady herself? Get your Queen masks and standees here. We’re sure Her Majesty would most definitely be amused!
If ever we needed a reason to be proud to be British, surely Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday fits the bill perfectly. The Queen has surely been – and still is – one of our finest ambassadors and a great example of someone who is dedicated to the task she is called to perform. She has the respect of leaders around the world and is head of state of the UK and 15 Commonwealth realms, with a combined population of about 139 million.
Witty and self-aware, Elizabeth II has given us quotes that range from the wry: “I have to be seen to be believed,” to the wise:
“I know of no single formula for success. But over the years I have observed that some attributes of leadership are universal and are often about finding ways of encouraging people to combine their efforts, their talents, their insights, their enthusiasm and their inspiration to work together.”
If you plan to celebrate her birthday you’ll probably have an eye on the HMQ90 celebrations (www.hmq90.co.uk) to be held in Windsor Park from 12-15 May, which will also be televised by ITV. This magnificent equestrian pageant will give us all an opportunity to break out the bunting and gather round the TV with a few friends. And who knows, Her Majesty might just agree to put in an appearance…
